住民稅是在1月1日的時點有日本住所，並且有一定額度以上的收入的話，即使是外國人也需要給居住的市町村政府支付的稅金。

對於自己支付（普通徵收）的人來說，會在6月左右收到居住地市町村政府發來的繳納單，因此請務必在繳納期限內繳納。如果您在公司工作並從月薪中扣除居民稅（特別徵收），則無需自行向市町村政府繳納。

本中心製作了關於住民稅的支付方法，回國之後的手續，對於在留手續的影響等的多語言資料，請確認。
