In June 2024, the Hokkaido Council of Social Welfare sent out guidelines and application forms regarding repayment forgiveness to those who received Comprehensive Support Funds (Relending).

If you are exempt from residence tax (both per capita and per income) for the 2024 fiscal year, you are eligible for loan repayment forgiveness and need to apply. If you need to check whether or not you are exempt from residence tax, please request a “Tax Certificate (kazei shomei sho)” from the municipal office where you live.
