Autumn sees a large increase in brown bear activity so extreme caution is advised, especially between September 1st and October 31st, 2024. As opportunities increase in Autumn to go into the mountains to hike or forage mushrooms etc., it is important to follow basic guidelines to avoid incidents with brown bears.
