You may be required to submit a “criminal record certificate” when applying for a visa or employment at an educational, government, or financial institution. Our Center frequently receives inquiries from foreign nationals who are living/used to live in Hokkaido about the application process.

We have therefore prepared a multi-lingual leaflet summarizing the application procedures and points to make note of when applying for a criminal record certificate, based on the information from the Hokkaido Police website.
