Announcement

If you are employed by a company and residence tax payments are automatically deducted from your monthly paycheck, you do not usually need to worry about paying residence tax yourself. However, if you leave your job to return to your home country, etc., you will need to handle the procedures for paying residence tax yourself.

We have prepared a leaflet, based on information from the Legal Affairs Bureau, explaining how to pay residence tax after leaving your job, and whether or not you will be required to continue paying residence tax even after you return to your home country. Please check it out.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact our center.
